Romantic Weekend Getaways

Romantic weekend getaways are best enjoyed in lodging that meets your needs and budget. If you're undecided as to whether a hotel, resort, motel, inn, cottage, cabin, campsite, or bed & breakfast is the most romantic place you can choose to getaway for a weekend, discover the pros and cons of each here.

HOTEL Romantic Weekend Getaways
The Pros:
Staying at a fine hotel means you can expect full service and privacy. If you want to stay in bed all weekend, sipping Champagne and nibbling on chocolate-covered strawberries, room service should be able to accommodate.
The Cons:
A resort can be costly, and little things — like parking and raiding the minibar — can add to the expense. Also, many large resorts cater to families, so there's a chance the squeals of children or the noise of them tearing down the hallway may intrude on a romantic weekend. In the event this occurs, don't put up with it. Ask management for another room, and enjoy the rest of your weekend.

LODGE Romantic Weekend Getaways
The Pros:
Smaller than resorts but larger than inns, lodges are usually located in beautiful natural surroundings and offer a variety of outdoor activities.
The Cons:
Lodges cater to families as well as couples. Food tends to be banquet, not gourmet, quality.

INN Romantic Weekend Getaways
The Pros:
Finer inns are known for their historic charm and well-prepared meals. Many feature antique or reproduction furniture.
The Cons:
Since inns are smaller than hotels and resorts, facilities may be limited. Meals may not be available at all hours during your romantic weekend.

MOTEL Romantic Weekend Getaways
The Pros:
Motels offer weekend romantics free parking and easy-in/easy-out access. They're typically less expensive than a hotel or a resort.
The Cons:
Many motels are bare-bones affairs. Don't expect luxury linens, room service, sports facilities, or beautiful decor. Motels with thin walls and those located close to highways can be noisy.

COTTAGE or CABIN Romantic Weekend Getaways
The Pros:
Cozy and private, a cottage can be the perfect size for a couple on a romantic weekend getaway.
The Cons:
Cottage quality, cost, and decor vary widely from place to place. And you never know who your neighbors will be.

BED & BREAKFAST Romantic Weekend Getaways
The Pros:
At locations lacking a hotel or resort, you're still likely to find a B&B to stay in. As the name implies, breakfast is included in the cost.
The Cons:
The owners are on-site at a B&B, and they're watching you. So are the other guests. If you don't like chatting at breakfast or eating with strangers, this romantic experience isn't for you.

CAMPSITE Romantic Weekend Getaways
The Pros:
Camping out allows couples to experience romance under the stars and get close to nature. It's also the most inexpensive romantic weekend getaway you can have --unless you go overboard buying camping equipment.
The Cons:
Bugs. Snakes. Rain. Dirt. Strange noises. Wild animals. Other people. Less-than-perfect bathrooms. And did we mention having to cook over an open fire?

Romantic Date Ideas

Having fun things to do on a date with all the people in the world around is enjoyable but it is also nice to spend some time alone with your date—so romantic. So how can (guys especially, though this may also be a dating advice for women) you possibly date someone romantically without offending him or her? Maybe you should try these ideas:

1. Picnic. Look for a park that is not very crowded. Guys, it would be more romantic if you surprise her by preparing a picnic for the two of you (this is one of the best dating tips for guys). It is seldom that men do these things so when you do things like these it pleases women.

2. Ride a love boat. It does not necessarily mean that you have to pass through the love tunnel, just spend your time on the boat together, it would be priceless already.

3. Have a good dinner. The fancy-dinner-for-two kind of date is classy but it doesn’t mean that it doesn’t work. Some romantic violin music on the background would make it perfect.

4. Dance. Dancing is a wonderful romantic idea for a date. You can just pullover by the bay, play some nice music, and dance under starry skies. How romantic is that?

5. Road trip on a bike. Cars are good for road trips but motorbikes make you closer. The seat is just for the two of you and you’re on your way to a romantic escapade.

6. Walk down the beach. The cool breeze plus the warmth of the hands of your partner is a great date. You can stargaze together, have a romantic conversation while strolling on the boardwalk or dipping your feet on the water.

7. Hold hands. Nothing beats the comfort and security that you give each other whenever you hold each others hands.

After these dates, you can surely look forward for another day that you will spend together. There are other ideas out there, just run your romantic date ideas

Ideas For A Fun Date

Tired of the usual dating scenarios wherein you go out, then eat, then maybe talk a little, and then go home immediately? Why don’t you try adding more delight to your archetypal date? There are hundreds of ideas for a fun date out there and you just have to apply it to yours. Here are some fun things to do on a date:

1. Go out of town. Classic dates would only allow you to go over the city finding some nice restaurants and movie houses but going out would be a different thing to try. There are a lot of places surrounding the metro that are great for out-of-town dates. Try it.

2. Dollar-each challenge. Dating need not be expensive. A simple stroll and some ice cream would already be fun. Try doing a dollar-each challenge by spending only two dollars (that’s a 100Php) for your date, the excitement that it brings to spending thrift would make your date more enjoyable.

3. Do it at home or at the backyard. Barbecues and DVDs and some indoor games are already fun dating ideas, you can both do some homemade recipes together and basically have fun all day without even spending a penny.

4. Fireworks! Go to a fireworks exhibition shows. Let’s admit it; it always gives us a smiling face whenever we witness one.

5. Got to famous monuments and other landmarks. Who says that having a dose of history for a date is boring? Try it, it is fun!

6. Watch a concert or a game. Treat her to her favorite artist’s concert. And treat him to his favorite league’s game.

7. Go to amusement parks. Well, what else are they there for but to amuse? Try some thrilling rides, win her that stuffed toy on the shooting booth, and have some corn dogs to snack.

Fun Things To Do On A Date

Couples and partners go on dates to relax or have fun. If it is your first time, it is quite nerve-wracking, but just a little bit. Once you two have established a rapport then it would be easier to be in each others company. However, succeeding dates would require you to delve deeper into the other by knowing them more and by taking interest on their character, talents, dreams and even frustrations. As you try to deal more about these aspects on the life of your partner, you can use it as a medium to have fun date ideas . These may be things to converse about, to share, and to do together on your date.

Talk about character. Start conversation regarding your impressions about each other. Break the ice by introducing your points of view but equally showing interest on the points of view of the other. Good conversations are great ingredients for fun dates.

Share and explore each others talents. He knows how to dance, she knows how to sing, and then maybe he can teach her how to dance and she can teach him how to sing. Or if both of you share a common interest on a particular field like acting, then you can both encourage each other to go to an acting workshop.
Share your dreams and frustrations and try to accomplish it for a day. Now you were like, “what?” It may sound crazy but it is fun. For example you are a frustrated dancer then go try out the Dance Revolution with your partner. Say, it has been your long dream to be a songster/songstress then go sing in the karaoke. It is important to make each other feel comfortable in each others presence. This will give you a feeling of support for whatever endeavor you might want to pursue or would have wanted to pursue.

These fun things to do on a date are just few of the many that you can think of. If you can still think of other creative dating ideas then go for it, as long as it will make your date fun and worthwhile.

Fun Date Ideas

Have you run out of ideas for a fun date ? The phone rang and you answered. It was your girl/boyfriend. He/she asked you if you want to go out on a date. You said sure. He/she asked you what you want to do. You said you don’t know. You asked him/her the same thing. And he/she said he/she doesn’t know as well. You end up doing nothing. Is this the set-up you are in to now?

Do you always think of new and fun things to do on a date? Have your brain juices evaporated and left you with almost nil creative dating ideas? Why don’t you make the next call and introduce to your partner a new and fun date idea that you would both enjoy? Here are some:

1. Go to a comedy bar. Having laughs is a perfect way to spend a date with a loved one.

2. Go camping! No, you need not go to the forest, just try the backyard and have some bonfire, build a tent, and have fun. It will cost you less the money you’ll spend on actual camps, and you won’t even leave the house.

3. Sing at the karaoke. Enjoy your pitched voices that lead to a good laugh. Everyone loves songs and though songs may not love everyone, you can still be at ease singing your lungs out beside your loved one.

4. Try test driving a car. It’s free and that is a good sign. You can ride your partner to anywhere near using the most luxurious cars out there (at least for that day only).

5. Do the icebreaker. You may say that you already know your partner but dating games like icebreaker will reveal more about the person you are dating. Try it and you will be surprised with the discoveries that you will find out about your date.

6. Try art. Art is for everyone. Try painting, sculpting, pottery, and other art-related activities that you can do together. You will even bring home a memory after.

7. Browse over the internet and look for a recipe that is peculiar to both of you. Then try it out in the kitchen. The fun starts in the cooking, and climaxes in the tasting. If it tasted good then congratulate both of yourselves for a job well done. If it tasted bad then you will have no one to blame. See? It’s fun.

Indeed, dating can be both fun and inexpensive. It only takes a bit of imaginative idea. So spark those fun date ideas now and Have fun!

Dating Relationship Advice

Basically, when we speak of dating and relationships, we always dichotomous them to either dating tips for guys or dating advice for women leading us to almost always overlooking that advice for both dating situations and relationship scenarios can be generalized. This also makes us uncomfortable in seeking help regarding these matters even if we are already drowning in dating- and relationship-related problems and anxieties.

If it is quite squirmy for most to have his or her first date, would you believe that even dates of long-been partners are also attacked by apprehensions? If making a spark on a first date is difficult for most, it is more difficult to keep the spark there as you go on with dating that person. Usually, the problem that arises is that partners tend to lose interest on each other or become bored of the company of both. So, how can this be addressed in relationships? Or how can you mutually replenish relationship dates that have been dried up by dreary on and on set-up? Here is some tip or advice that might bring back the lustre of your first date.

If you go on regular dates, make sure that you don’t do exactly the same things over and over again. This will definitely bore you. Try something different. Explore each other’s interests and dwell on that for a while. One interest at a time, say, she likes fishing, then go fishing, but don’t go fishing forever. Suggest a new thing that interests you, like, for instance, basketball. And then maybe you can ask her to go out and watch a game. You can also try to reminisce previous exciting dates and you can either talk about it or redo it for your pleasure. This dating relationship advice can be a very great help for you.

By doing turns in interest explorations during dates and by reminiscing previous enjoyable dates and redoing them, you will discover more about the other and be comfortable with both of you while at the same time enjoying each others company.
